Ship Your Belongings Anywhere in the World with Anglo Pacific

Anglo Pacific is one of the UK’s leading international shipping companies, with over 40 years of experience moving belongings between the UK and more than 200 destinations worldwide. Whether you are shipping a few boxes of personal effects, a container of furniture, or a vehicle, we handle every stage from your UK doorstep to your overseas address.

We ship by sea freight and air freight, with door-to-door collection and delivery, full customs handling, and fixed pricing confirmed before you book. Choose the type of shipment that fits what you are sending:

Shipping Boxes

Shipping boxes internationally is the most flexible option for personal effects, clothing, books, kitchenware, and household goods. You pack your belongings into sturdy double-walled cartons and we handle the rest. Box shipping suits anyone sending between one and twenty boxes, whether you are relocating, sending gifts, or clearing a property. We provide boxes and packing materials, or you can use your own.

Shipping Containers

For larger shipments, you can book a dedicated container or share space in a groupage container with other customers heading to the same destination. A dedicated 20ft container holds the contents of a typical two to three bedroom home. Shared containers give you the security of container shipping at a fraction of the cost, ideal for volumes between one and five cubic metres that are too large for box shipping but do not fill a full container.

Shipping Furniture

Shipping furniture from the UK requires proper wrapping, handling, and stowage to prevent damage in transit. We wrap and protect each piece individually using blankets, bubble wrap, and custom crating where needed. Whether you are shipping a sofa, dining table, bed frame, or an entire room of furniture, our team ensures everything arrives in the condition it left.

Shipping Vehicles

We ship cars, motorbikes, and other vehicles from the UK by container or roll-on roll-off (RoRo) services. Each destination has its own import regulations covering age, emissions, and roadworthiness standards. We handle the export paperwork from the UK side and provide guidance on the import requirements for your destination country, including left-hand to right-hand drive conversion rules where applicable.

Sea Freight and Air Freight: Which is Right for You?

Every international shipment from the UK travels by sea or air. The right choice depends on how much you are sending, how quickly you need it, and your budget.

Sea freight

  • Best for: larger shipments, furniture, multiple boxes, vehicles, and anything where cost matters more than speed.
  • Transit time: 6 to 14 weeks door to door, depending on destination. Dubai and Singapore are at the shorter end. Australia, New Zealand, and the Americas are at the longer end.
  • Cost: significantly lower per cubic metre than air freight. The most cost-effective option for volumes over 0.5 cubic metres.
  • Options: dedicated container (you fill the whole unit) or shared container/groupage (you share space with other shipments heading to the same port).

Air freight

  • Best for: urgent shipments, single boxes, small volumes, and items you need before your sea freight arrives.
  • Transit time: 7 to 10 days door to door for most destinations.
  • Cost: higher per kilogram than sea freight, but faster delivery and lower minimum volumes.
  • Ideal use: sending essential items ahead while the bulk of your belongings travel by sea.

How International Shipping Works

Shipping from the UK takes five steps. We coordinate the logistics, customs paperwork, and delivery so you can focus on your move.

  • Tell us what you are shipping. Send us a rough inventory of your items, your destination, and your preferred timeline. We will send you a fixed quote the same working day.
  • Book and arrange collection. Once you accept your quote, we schedule a collection from any UK address on a date that suits you. For furniture and larger items, our team wraps and protects everything on collection day. For boxes, we provide packing materials in advance or you can pack your own.
  • Packing and loading. Our team packs fragile and bulky items using blankets, bubble wrap, and custom crating. Everything is loaded securely for transit, whether into a shared container, a dedicated container, or an air freight consignment.
  • Customs and documentation. We prepare all export paperwork from the UK side and all import documentation for your destination country. This includes customs declarations, personal effects statements, biosecurity forms, vehicle import paperwork, and any duty exemptions you may qualify for, such as Transfer of Residence relief.
  • Delivery to your door. Your shipment arrives at your overseas address and is delivered to your specified rooms. Sea freight takes 6 to 14 weeks depending on destination. Air freight delivers within 7 to 10 days. We track your shipment throughout and keep you updated at every stage.

Transit Times by Destination

Sea freight transit times vary by destination. The figures below are approximate warehouse-to-door delivery times and include port handling and inland transport at the destination end.

  • Dubai, Hong Kong, Singapore: 6 to 10 weeks.
  • Canada (Toronto), Malaysia: 7 to 11 weeks.
  • South Africa (Cape Town, Durban): 8 to 12 weeks.
  • USA (New York, Miami, Los Angeles): 7 to 12 weeks.
  • Australia (all ports), New Zealand, Thailand: 10 to 14 weeks.
  • Canada (Vancouver): 10 to 14 weeks.

Air freight delivers within 7 to 10 days door to door for most destinations. For an exact transit time based on your destination city, contact us with your postcode and we will confirm the schedule.

 International Shipping Prices

The cost of international shipping depends on three things: the volume of your shipment, the shipping method you choose, and your destination. We charge by the size of your shipment, not by weight at check-in, so you know the full price before booking.

Indicative starting prices (sea freight, door to door)

  • 1 to 3 boxes (under 0.5 cubic metres): from around £290.
  • 5 to 10 boxes (approx. 1 cubic metre): from around £550.
  • Shared container, 2 to 5 cubic metres: from around £1,200.
  • Dedicated 20ft container: from around £3,500 depending on destination.
  • Furniture (single item, e.g. sofa): from around £800 depending on destination and wrapping required.
  • Vehicle (car, standard saloon): from around £1,500 depending on destination and shipping method.

All quotes are fixed at the time of booking. The price covers UK collection, packing where applicable, freight, customs documentation, and delivery to your overseas address. Larger volumes attract better per-cubic-metre rates.

What affects the price?

  • Volume: the total cubic metres of your shipment is the primary cost driver. More volume means a lower rate per cubic metre.
  • Destination: transit distance, port charges, and local delivery costs vary by country.
  • Shipping method: sea freight is cheaper per cubic metre than air freight. Shared containers are cheaper than dedicated containers for smaller volumes.
  • Packing: professional packing for furniture and fragile items adds to the cost but protects against damage.

For an exact quote, send us a rough inventory of what you are shipping and where it is going. We will respond the same working day.
