International Shipping to Asia
Shipping to Asia from the UK covers some of our most established long-haul routes, from Hong Kong and Singapore to Japan, Malaysia and Thailand. Whether you are sending a few boxes, a full container of furniture or a vehicle, we manage the whole journey from your UK doorstep to your Asian address by sea or air freight, with door to door collection and delivery, full customs handling and fixed pricing confirmed before you book.
Anglo Pacific has been shipping belongings to Asia for over 40 years, handling more than 20,000 consignments every year. We also handle the reverse journey, bringing belongings back to the UK from anywhere in Asia.
How Much Does Shipping to Asia Cost
The cost of shipping to Asia from the UK depends on three things: the volume of your shipment, the shipping method you choose and your delivery country. We charge by the size of your shipment, not by weight at check-in, so you know the full price before booking.
- Single 23kg suitcase by sea freight: from around £180 door to door.
- Single 23kg suitcase by air freight: from around £320 door to door.
- Three to five boxes (around 0.5 cubic metres) by sea freight: from around £290.
- Small flat contents (around 1 cubic metre) by sea freight: from around £550
Quotes are fixed at the time of booking and cover UK collection, freight, customs documentation and final delivery. For an exact figure based on your shipment and destination, send us a rough inventory and we will respond the same working day.
Every shipment to Asia travels by sea or air. Sea freight is the standard method for larger shipments, most cost-effective for boxes, furniture and full household volumes, with door to door times generally ranging from around 10 – 14 weeks. A dedicated container (FCL) is typically around 2 weeks faster than a shared container (groupage) on the same route. Air freight is available across the region for urgent or smaller shipments, generally delivering within 10 days door to door.
Shipping to Asian Countries
We ship to destinations across East and Southeast Asia. Popular routes include:
- Japan: sea freight, 8 to 12 weeks groupage or 6 to 10 weeks FCL, door to door, via Yokohama or Kobe.
- Hong Kong: sea freight, 6 to 9 weeks groupage or 4 to 7 weeks FCL, door to door.
- Singapore: sea freight, typically 5 to 8 weeks door to door.
- Malaysia: sea freight, typically 6 to 9 weeks door to door via Port Klang.
- India: sea freight, typically 8 to 11 weeks door to door.
Visit each country’s dedicated page for full pricing, transit times and customs detail specific to that destination.
If you need to ship boxes, furniture or a container from anywhere in Asia back to the UK, we coordinate shipping in the reverse direction. The service runs the same way: door to door collection, fixed pricing, sea or air freight, UK customs handled on arrival.
Returning UK residents may qualify for Transfer of Residence (ToR) relief from UK customs duty and VAT, provided you have owned and used the items abroad for at least 6 months. We help you prepare the ToR1 application before your shipment leaves Asia.
